RICHARD DAWKINS, the atheist campaigner, is planning a legal ambush to have the Pope arrested during his state visit to Britain for crimes against humanity. Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, the atheist author, have asked human rights lawyers to produce a case for charging Pope Benedict XVI over his alleged cover-up of sexual abuse in the Catholic church.
This is fantastic, though I’m not sure whether to laugh at the absurdity of it all - OK, the Pope’s an utterly disgusting cunt who belongs behind bars, but it’ll never happen - or to actually rally behind it. Instead, I’ll voice my quiet approval (albeit one that contains the c-word) and hope that this at least contributes to a further promotion of the truth about the Catholic church.
